The stars shine brightly for the festival of light at Sitaaray

Images Video Audio
Why not add a little sparkle to your Diwali celebrations this year, by visiting London’s newest and brightest Indian restaurant!

Sitaaray, launched at the beginning of this year, is home to more Bollywood stars than you could possibly imagine… it’s where SRK hangs alongside heartthrob Abhishek and stunning Aishwarya shares a booth with Rekha.
Visitors can choose who they wish to eat with – whether it be the villains and the vamps or the heroes and heroines. Each booth also has its own private screen, so you can watch a film that honours your favourite star as you eat!

Executive Chef Deepinder Singh Sondhi has created a special menu that truly celebrates the New Year and all the traditional festivities, allowing you to indulge in the finest and tastiest kababs, curries and desserts.

He will serve kesari chicken tikka, marinated in rich saffron and mint sauce and lamb adraki chaamp, succulent char-grilled lamb chops flavoured with ginger. If this is not enough to make your eyes sparkle and mouth water, then tantalise your taste buds with juicy prawn ki tikki, flavoured with garlic, a hint of pepper and curry leaves adding the finest touch.

For all those vegetarians, brace yourselves and enjoy the experience with Deepinder’s great choice in veggie delights. His broccoli badami is coated with the rich taste of almonds and spiced cheese, which will definitely leave you asking for more. Be sure to order the paneer tikka achaari, preserved in a mixture of India’s luxury pickles, capturing the essence of the spicy flavours. Taste the freshly baked naan and parantha complemented with creamy curries such as spinach mushroom malai and dal makhni.

End the evening with a sweet touch of carrot halwa. Following the tradition of Diwali, it certainly is not complete without mithai. The carrot, milk and nut fudge will leave a wonderful taste in your mouth making you crave for more.

Deepinder explains how he selected such an exclusive range of dishes for this special occasion:

’Diwali is the biggest festival of India, which is very significant to Hindus, Sikhs and Jains. Diwali is now considered to be more of a national festival and every Indian regardless of faith, celebrates its aesthetic aspect with jubilation and enthusiasm. Vegetarian food and lots of sweets are generally eaten during this festival. Keeping this in mind, I have included lots of vegetarian kebabs and sweets. The menu is more elaborate and the dishes richer in taste.’

Eat to your heart’s content while the dishes keep coming and the movie keeps rolling. There are no limits to this experience; you will certainly leave feeling like a true star. Diwali is a festival of love, fun and sharing with your friends and family so why not experience an unforgettable meal and make sure you start the New Year with a big dhamaka.

Do not miss this filmi experience book your table now, as the menu is only available from the 8th-10th November.
