The Best Curry in the North at the Tameside Food and Drink Festival 2007

Images Video Audio
Ashton’s Indian Ocean restaurant (winner of the Best in Britain Awards - Best in the North award 2007 and the Cobra Good Curry Guide - Best in the North 2007) will be attempting to beat a world record as part of this year’s Tameside Food Festival.
The Indian Ocean team will attempt to build the world’s tallest stack of poppadoms, the record for which currently stands at 160, during a charity night in support of Oxfam. There will be a special prize for the guest who guesses the actual number they achieve and everyone who attends will be able to sample a range of their award winning Punjabi and Kashmiri curry dishes.
This special taster night will run from 6pm to 10pm on Tuesday 9th October and will feature many of their award winning dishes including starters, main courses and side dishes. The cost is just £5.95 per person with at least £1 of every ticket sold going to the charity as well as collections being made on Oxfam’s behalf during the evening.
