TiIffinbites Top in Taste Test

Images Video Audio
Top Indian chef Vineet Bhatia has rated Tiffinbites’ grab and go Indian food dishes above supermarkets’ own brand curries in a taste test for business and financial group Bloomberg.
The blind taste test, which tested Waitrose, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Marks & Spencer Indian food alongside Tiffinbites, saw Bhatia taste Chicken Tikka Masala and Lamb Rogan Josh dishes, and rate them on factors including colour, flavour, seasoning and meat tenderness.

Bhatia, who currently holds a Michelin star at his restaurant Rasoi, commented about Tiffinbites Lamb Rogan Josh: “Far better. Far, far, far better. This is good compared to the rest. The lamb is cooked nicely.”

Jamal Hirani, CEO and Founder of Tiffinbites, commented: “We are delighted with the result. It’s a real coup for a relatively small food chain such as ourselves to take on the supermarket giants and come out on top. We know that Tiffinbites is best take-away Indian food that London has to offer, and this test serves to confirm it.”

Tiffinbites scored twice as much as nearest rival Waitrose in the test which was conducted on 24 September. Tiffinbites dishes are made using traditional and authentic cooking methods and recipes, with spices freshly ground on site and no ghee (clarified butter) used in the cooking process.
