*BUFFALO-san Short Film Festival Now in it’s 6th year the *Buffalo-san short Film Festival presents the very best of Black and Asian short films selected from the UK and abroad. Added to this we are showcasing live poetry performance, and music. Including the prodigiously talented Ayanna Witter. A night not to be missed The quality of films we screen continues to remain high and engaging. Recent festival Winners include: Ashvin Kumar’s “The Little Terrorist” nominated for an OSCAR. Award winning Director/ Writer Yousuf Ali Khan BAFTA nominated film “Skin Deep”, and Brixton’s own awesomely talented filmmaker Daniel Mulloy, whose film “Antonio’s Breakfast” went to win a number of Awards around the world, including a BAFTA. For filmmakers and audience alike there are many opportunities to network, be it looking for crew, cast, support, or just creative inspiration. All is on offer at the Buffalo-san film festival. To augment this, the festival will endeavour to secure the attendance of development executives from C4 – BBC Drama – The UK Film Council – Miramax -Working title and other film media professionals. We actively involve the audience throughout the evening by including Q&A with filmmakers, and the audience vote for the best film at the end of the festival, as well as winning prizes for answering film related questions. Helping to make the evening a more inclusive and memorable experience.
