With more than 30 dresses ranging from cool and breezy summer or resort wear to cocktail dresses and evening gowns; the look was simple, understated without compromising on elegance and glamour. Short dresses in light tones of white, mild pink and yellow with well-cut silhouettes in chiffons, georgettes and silk jersey set the pace for the show. Subtle ornamentation in the form of linear gold and silver threadwork made it a tasteful set. The cocktail dresses also available as longer evening gowns were in darker colors of red, green, blue, white and yellow. Embellishments were added by using crystals and shimmering stones to decorate over the bodice, shoulder straps, back, necklines and waistbands. Intended for the red carpet, the show-stopper was brought out by Bollywood star Dia Mirza, a former Miss Asia-Pacific, to thunderous applause. Dia wore a one-shoulder gown in resplendent red with the encrusted bodice glittering under the spotlight. Style Diva Naseeba Sacranie who worked on some of the shows at DFW this season commented ' the Z for Z collection was simply stunning, my favourites had to be the white dresses. Show stopper Dia Mirza was an absolute pleasure to work with, she certainly glided down the runway in that beautiful grecian style red gown and brought the show to a sensational climax! |
