The awards, organised by Precious Online Magazine and Network(www.preciousonline.co.uk), take place during the first day of Enterprise Week, and serve to promote those inspiring individuals that generate ideas and turn them into action and change. “Precious is proud to celebrate the entrepreneurial talents of women of colour in the UK. We are also delighted to be taking part in Enterprise Week once again. The contribution that women of colour entrepreneurs make to UK PLC is vital, and we want to acknowledge and celebrate that fact.” says Foluke Akinlose, Founder of Precious Online Magazine and Network. As well as celebrating female entrepreneurs, the awards also pay tribute to women that play a leadership role within a large organisation. “‘Pearson is proud to be the headline sponsor of the 2007 Precious Awards celebrating the achievements of women of colour in business.
