Dr Nazia Khanum OBE, director of Equality in Diversity, who conducted a study into forced marriages commissioned by Margaret Moran MP, the Home Office and the Metropolitan Police, will give the main address. The local Imam, Imam Dian will also give a speech, as will Lynne Townley (Crown Advocate, Senior Legal Advisor to the Principal Policy Advisor and SYR Secretary). This will be followed by a debate involving audience members, including community police officers, local school children, County Councillors and Aylesbury’s Mayor Ranjula Takodra. |
