There IS Hope! 08.08.08

MAD (Making A Difference) Transformations are running a soon to be nationwide youth campaign - R U Making A Difference?
The campaign kicks off with an exciting event on 08.08.08.
There IS Hope!

The purpose of the event is to;

•Raise awareness and funds for youth organisations that are Making A Difference.

•Honour youth organisations, individuals and young people who are Making A Difference.

•Highlight young people who are Making A Difference in their communities, and organisations who are part of the solution.

All funds raised at the event will be donated to two organisations in the East London area, who are Making A Difference to the lives of young people - Communities Empowerment Network and Eastside Young Leaders Academy.

The event aims to raise the esteem, standard and profile of young people and will be a nationwide event, raising funds to help make a difference to at least two nominated charities every year. Youth groups, organisations and individuals will be required to submit applications, and two of them will be selected to take part in the R.U.MAD? youth campaign.

These organisations work with young people who are vulnerable or at risk of under-achieving and/or offending, offering them support, opportunities and a future.

The event will be held at the Round Chapel in Hackney East London
(corner of Powerscroft road & Lower Clapton Road E5 0LY) from 7pm.
Turn out is expected to be 400.

The evening will provide live entertainment/edutainment, from artists Jahaziel, Floetic Lara, Chidi and more!
There will be words of wisdom and encouragement from keynote speakers such as Bishop Wayne Malcolm founder of CLC and ICAN, food, drink and great networking opportunities!
