New role for business in the community chief

THE deputy director of Business in the community has taken on a role supporting the development of minority ethnic entrepreneurs.
David Darlaston has worked with Business in the Community since 1995 and has been its deputy director for the past 10 years.

He works with 800 members of Business in the Community through a network of bases in Birmingham, Coventry, Stoke, Hereford and Wolverhampton.

David is a member of the Corporation of Stourbridge College, chair of the Tipton Education Fund and of Groundwork Black Country. He is a member of the task group set up by Regional Minister Ian Austin MP, the Regional Economic Inclusion Panel and Regional Equality and Diversity Partnership.

In his latest role David joins the Board of the West Midlands Minority Ethnic Business Forum that offers strategic advice to the regional development agency Advantage West Midlands and other partners.
