The GG2 Leadership and Diversity Awards 2008

London 11th September: Now in its tenth year, the GG2 Leadership and Diversity Awards taking place on 16th September at the Grosvenor Hotel is the premier ceremony highlighting and showcasing ethnic achievement.

The theme of the event is ‘Woman’s World’ which celebrates women in business. Sarah Brown is set to speak at the event and Karren Brady, Naina Kidwai, CEO of HSBC India and Meera Syal will each be participating in a group Q&A session led by the BBC’s Sangita Myska.

Throughout the evening 11 awards will be presented by blue chip companies and celebrities including Annie Lennox, Frank Bruno, Graham Le Saux and Ainsley Harriott. From GG2 Young Journalist of the Year, GG2 Entrepreneur of the Year and GG2 Man/Woman of the Year to the prestigious Hammer Award – which is presented to the person who has broken through the proverbial glass ceiling – the event will showcase and celebrate a variety of different ethnic achievements.

The Awards are adjudicated by an independent panel of judges who include: Sarah Brown, President, Piggy Bank Kids and wife of Prime Minister Gordon Brown; Terry Mansfield CBE, Director, Hearst Corporation; Peter Preston, Former Editor, The Guardian; Barry Gardiner MP and Ramniklal Solanki CBE, Editor in Chief, Asian Media & Marketing Group.
