Southwark Entrepreneur, Lisa Newton is a short-listed finalist for RBS South London Business Award

Double-award winning entrepreneur Lisa Newton, 28 has beaten over 200 nominations across the 12 South London Boroughs to make it to the short listed final 6 of for the ‘RBS South London Business Entrepreneur of the Year’ award. “I’m so excited! I just can’t believe it!” said Elephant-based Lisa. Boogles Ltd, established in 2004 with a modest £150 capital (£100 from Lisa’s overdraft and £50 from her mum) employs around 20 staff and is being franchised across the UK . Boogles offer bookkeeping services on or off site across London, bookkeeping training courses and have a maths game for kids aged 5-11 years which is sold on Amazon. “This terrific result emphasises not only the strength of local business in South London, but also the sheer innovation, diversity and entrepreneurial spirit to be found here,” said Peter Pledger, chief executive of South London Business which is running the awards on behalf of the Royal Bank of Scotland . The winners will be announced at a lavish black tie ceremony to be held at Crystal Palace Football Club, on 20th May 09.

“We’re not your average normal boring bookkeeper, but we have a brand with a fun personality. We even have a song!” Said Lisa.
