In addition to excitement of the Asian main ball room, The Asian Wedding Experience set new benchmarks for the Wedding Show Industry, this year with two new aspects of the show launched;
The Couture Lounge – was is a huge success, the concept of the Couture Lounge was to develop an intimate catwalk session designed to allow the designers to show case their collections and talk directly to the brides. During the course of the day there were three shows.
The Wedding Workshop – inspired visitors with workshops designed to give them that little edge when planning a wedding and to learn from the experts in their field. Visitors were treated to 4 workshops, including how to plan a wedding, money saving tips, how to choose a photographer.
The Asian Wedding Experience Show, has always been innovative in their approach and ethos to the show, one of their key mantras is “it’s FREE,” and this year was no different, visitors to the show had FREE entrance, FREE drink reception, and to top that all off FREE food sampling courtesy of Zinc Occasions and Iqbal Catering.
Juel Khan, Simplicity Events, co organisers of the event, says “It was a long journey to get here. The exhibitors, suppliers and our team pulled together to produce this inspirational event. Bride, Grooms and their families should be more prepared now, having been to the show”
Monir Ali, Photographer, and co-organiser adds “The show has grown in the last five years, from our humble beginning in Oldham with a handful of exhibitors, to now being able to give the potential bride and groom over 50 suppliers, all under one roof at the Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel is inspirational.”
The partners for the Show include Renaissance Manchester City Centre Hotel, Senior Events Manager, Becky Barter, said of the show. “It has been a extremely colourful journey from our first meeting with the AWE team, and the last few days before the show were crazy, our team as well as theirs were working round the clock to ensure that Ballroom looked brilliant, we had an amazing time and look forward to next year.”
The Asian Wedding Show culminated with the UKs very first Asian Wedding Experience Awards, where 15 of the most inspirational wedding suppliers and businesses in the North were awarded for their hard work, inspiration, dedication and not forgetting the quality of service they provide.
