Shahzea, an experienced family solicitor, is a specialist member of the Family Law Panel and of Resolution, the national organisation of family lawyers committed to non-confrontational divorce, separation and other family problems. She will work from her Wembley office base but efficiently serve clients across London thanks to the unique way Woolley & Co operates.
The firm has done away with high street offices and cut the need for repeated meetings, instead harnessing the internet and the latest technology to communicate with clients effectively, send and receive documents, operate flexibly and offer transparent pricing for work bought directly from www.family-lawfirm.co.uk
It brings the total number of solicitors at Woolley & Co to 14 – a growth of nearly 50 per cent since September – covering the Midlands, East Anglia, London, the South and South West, with lawyers working from satellite home offices.
Shahzea was admitted as a solicitor in April 2000, specialising in family law, including dealing with co-habitant disputes, pre-nuptial and pre-civil partnership agreements, separation, divorce, financial disputes and children matters.
“Family law is very much people-orientated, connected to problem solving and deals with real life situations,” said Shahzea, who is married with two young children.
“My aim is always to resolve problems sensitively in an organised and firm yet practical way.
“I am also fluent in Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi. It is important to understand the various cultural and social issues that can arise from family disputes in the Asian communities. In particular, it is vital that those whose first language is not English are not prevented from seeking the legal redress that they are rightfully entitled to. I hope to make a difference to these people’s lives.”
Originally from Bedfordshire, Shahzea completed her training contract with one of the leading regional law firms, Pictons Solicitors and since then has worked in London, Middlesex and Hertfordshire.
Shahzea added: “Woolley & Co offers flexibility both to me and to my clients so I can work around their lifestyle. This approach will undoubtedly enhance my efficiency and enable me to work even more closely with my clients across London and the surrounding areas.”
Woolley & Co was founded in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, in 1996. It now has legal experts in Warwickshire, Worcestershire, Leicestershire, London, Derbyshire, Staffordshire, Cornwall, Dorset, Bedfordshire, Norfolk, Gloucestershire and Wiltshire.
