Multi-Ethnic Recruitment Website Launches

ME Media launch Worksfm.com, UK’s first ethnic recruitment portal.

ME Media launched a new website which aims to help people from the Ethnic Minorities to get better access to job opportunities and the recruitment sector. Some of the top 100 companies and employers in the UK have come on board, having successfully achieved results in their recruitment drive with ME Media’s weekly paper ‘Works for Me’ which has achieved ABC circulation of 54,592.

Worksfm.com’s launch will act as a specialist online tool for recruiters, organisations and candidates whose background or interests lies within the diversity sector, as well as being a focus point for special initiatives aimed at Britain’s unique multicultural mix.

The launch of this site is part of an ongoing initiative and strategy from ME Media, a specialist publisher and media company, to reach into the diverse communities such as the Asian and Afro-Caribbean in Britain today. The website will form part of a stable of brands that has been developed since the company’s launch in 2001. ME Media was the brainchild of David Landau, (Founder of ‘Loot free ads paper).

ME Media’s Chief Executive, Peter Hill said;
“With the launch of Worksfm.com, we’ve essentially grown with the demands within the UK’s recruitment arena. Our recruitment paper “Works for me” was the first publication in the UK to target the minority communities, and with the success it has achieved since its launch nearly 3 years ago, this is the natural next step.”

Worksfm.com will be launched with all the features and services associated with a today’s recruitment demands, alongside a number of unique online tools.

Neena Kent, Director of ME Media reveals;
“We’ve been researching both the demands and needs of the people looking for jobs online, and the needs of potential employers. Only a well-informed user is a well-armed user. Worksfm.com has been created to be very informative, simple to use, effective as an online marketplace and it has an innovative set of facilities such as video CV’s. “

“But the real innovation for me is that having being able to narrow the space between employers and the employees that they’re looking to recruit (from the minority communities in the UK) via our newspaper; we’ve now transferred that facility to the net. ME Media is all about reaching communities, and reaching out to them effectively, and with Worksfm.com we’re going to be able to hit the target immediately and precisely”.

“Our clients, which vary from the government sector, blue chip companies and private businesses, have supported and welcomed this move. As the demands within recruitment is continually moving with the times, our new service Worksfm.com, will make finding a job or a candidate, that much more effective and easier.”
