Foluke Akinlose MBE,

I think in these difficult times it takes courage to open up your working life for scrutiny and this year’s outstanding winners reveal just a hint of some of the great work these women are doing. These awards are about showcasing and applauding talent and determination and the valuable contribution women of colour such as Lydia make. I’m delighted that the importance of the awards has been recognised with a message of support from the Prime Minister David Cameron and I’m looking forward to charting the continued success of all the winners. These are definitely women to watch.”
