Let’s Talk Africa 2010

TIEC presents ‘Let’s Talk Africa’ coming up on the 1st of May at the Cambridge Union of the Cambridge University. Cambridge Union is instructive because it has hosted many historic and iconic speakers such as Winston Churchill, Reverend Jessie Jackson, John Major, and Margret Thatcher among others.
This event will showcase the opportunities available in Africa and encourage Graduates as well as students in Diaspora to add value to the continent .Let’s Talk Africa is:
• A stimulating, thought- provoking yet engaging conversation on the role of the educated Diaspora as ‘change agents’.
• An event where the audience and the panel of speakers engage in a stimulating debate about the opportunities and challenges in Africa.
• Exploring the question: Is International education- ‘brain drain’ or ‘brain gain’?
• Focusing not just on talk- but how some of the talks can be translated into effective actions!
Confirmed Speakers include Martin Woolnough Managing Director and CEO of Nestle Nigeria & Ghana, Ms. Pratibha Thaker Director of the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Africa department (part of the Economist Magazine) and Dr Adesina Iluyemi (Executive Secretary, New Partnership for Africa Development NEPAD Council)
