History and future combine as a taste of BME businesses comes to the city centre

Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) businesses will be sharing their expertise when they take to the streets as part of Black History Month.

The Sheffield Chamber backed BME Business Forum has organised stalls on Fargate in the city centre for members to display their products and services.

The Forum has more than 100 members covering a variety of sectors including retail, food and art.

Forum co-ordinator Bernadette Grocock said: “This is a great opportunity for people to learn more about the work of the forum and the products and services our members have to offer.

“While the forum exists to help support those from a minority background in the business community, it’s also important that there is integration and the stalls are a fantastic way to achieve this.”

Representatives of the forum will also be in the city centre from Monday (October 8) to Sunday October 14 along with business advisors from Sheffield Enterprise Agency (SENTA). Black History Month runs throughout October.
