First Minister to attend the 3rd Annual Scottish Asian Business Awards.

First Minister Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP is to attend the 2008 Scottish Asian Business Awards as keynote speaker.

First Minister Alex Salmond said: “The Scottish Asian business community makes a major contribution to Scotland’s economy and these annual awards are a great opportunity to celebrate and recognise the success of these businesses.”

“The Scottish Asian Business Awards have always drawn the interest, and subsequently the attendance, of Scotland’s leading political figures. Alex Salmond first attended the Awards back in their inaugural year in 2006 as the Party Leader for the SNP. For him to attend once again, this time in the capacity of First Minister, reflects how the Awards have matured over three short years to become the leading platform from which Scotland celebrates and showcases the achievements of the Asian business men and women who are at the forefront of their industry.” Angela Bennett, Group PR Manager with Oceanic Consulting.
