Asian businesses in UK contribute £103 billion to the economy"

To mark the unprecedented developments across the prolific arena of ethnic commerce and industry in the UK, the 12th annual Eastern Eye Asian Business Awards celebrates a colossal growth to parallel the ascending successes of the UK’s burgeoning Asian business community, and takes place on Wednesday 19th November 2008 at Bobby Moore Room, Wembley Stadium.

Established as one of the most prominent entries on the UK business calendar, the Eastern Eye Asian Business Awards pays homage to the lucrative achievements of the UK’s Asian business strengths and the stronghold they maintain within the nation’s economy. Hosted by Eastern Eye, Britain’s biggest selling Asian newspaper which is part of the Ethnic Media Group, and presented by Sterling Media, the prestigious award ceremony will honour high achievers from the Asian business world by announcing seven coveted awards covering Young Achiever of the Year, Newcomer of the Year, Entrepreneur of the Year, Community Award, Lifetime Achievement Award and the most coveted awards, Businessman and Businesswoman of the Year. The awards will honour the hard work, dedication and unfettered commitment of a broad range of achievers from a multitude of fields. The event also coincides with the annual publication Britain’s Richest Asians Magazine – the only magazine to exclusively publish an up-to-date audit of wealth for the richest 30 Asians in the UK.

More than 800 VIPs and celebrity guests will be attending the Eastern Eye Asian Business Awards consisting of a host of Britain’s richest Asians, a pool of A-list mainstream, British Asian and international talent, public figures, MPs and millionaires.
